Chocolate is a very common snack for all of us. Children, teenagers and even old people. There are different flavor such as milk, orange, nuts...  Chocolate contains sugar, milk (if it's milk chocolate, not if it's dark), cocoa butter, lecithin, flavorings (like vanilla) , sometimes vegetable oil, and a few mi- nor ingredients for texture. But do you know chocolate has many affects on human body and it has its advantages and disadvantages?

There are a lot of ways that chocolate affect human health. The first way is the mental effects. Chocolate contains small amounts of substance - trytophan, which helps the brain produce “feel- good” chemical. It also release chemicals which relieve stress and offer a natural happy feeling. Its smell of chocolate may increase the brain waves, resulting in relaxation.

Chocolate affect human’s heart. It’s like green tea, it contains natural chemicals that protect the heart. The chemical is called “flavanoids”. The darker the choco- late, the more “flavanoids” it has. Chocolate also has affect on minerals of human body. Dark chocolate contains high amount of magnesium which helps our body metabolize food to energy.

Chocolate is made from plants, that means it contains many of the health benefits of dark vegetables. These benefits are from flavonoids. It protect the body from aging caused by free radicals, which can cause damage that leads to heart disease. The chemical --- flavonols help keep you looking younger for longer. Consuming flavanol-rich chocolate may protect your skin from ultraviolet light in sunshine. 

Chocolate contains many sugar and fat, especially milk and white chocolate. So if we eat too much of them, there will be a damage in your body. Because of the fat, they might lead you to heart attacks, stroke, high-blood pressure, obesity... 

The caffeine content. Dark chocolate is often considered the healthiest of Dark, milk and white chocolate. But it contains more caffeine than the other two.A 1.45-oz. serving of dark chocolate contains 30 mg of caffeine, while 1.55 oz. of milk chocolate has 11 mg of caffeine. Too much caffeine can be addicting. It could lead to sleep problems, headaches loss focus... 

In conclusion, chocolate is healthy to human body if you eat the right amount. Dark chocolate is a better choice if you want to eat chocolate because it contains less fat and sugar. We should always have different types of food every day, so that we can grow better.
